    So happy for her!

Cindy was rushed back to the hospital last. She had become unresponsive as she was when she was taken before. We don't have anymore news right now but will ask for prayers for Cindy.

I just spoke to Michelle, but out of respect for the family I am reluctant to post, but will for prayers. The doctor said due to the infection her organs are shutting down. They will put her on hospice as this is too hard for at home care. Miracles can happen, so I'm not giving up hope. Please keep her and her family in thoughts and prayers.

My heart just hurts! I don't even know what to say. I have always felt like I had control of a lot of things, but feel so lost right now. I know this probably isn't the time or place but hoping that as poets you will all understand. I feel like I am losing and have lost my P and Q family. Billy rob passed last year, then Anna had a stroke and I haven't talked to her and now Cindy, someone who I talk to almost daily. I am just lost and praying that their families find the kind of comfort they have given me over the past 10 years.

Oh lord, that's not the news I expected.

Kay I think I speak for most of us to say we love you and your concern.

It is the things utterly beyond our control that stab us deepest.

I don't usually pray, but I will for them, for you and another on here who needs it but would never ask

Kay, I don't know Cindy like you, obviously, but she has been warm and supportive to me since I got here, welcomed me to here club and I have exchanged emails and pictures of our homes/families with her, so this news certainly leaves an awful feeling in the pit of my stomach.
I will continue to think of her and send her, her friends and her family all the very best.
Kay, keep your head up; I'm sure Cindy would want you to.

    All the very best,
    Ben

Thank you Ben, she has many friends and family on here. I certainly am not trying to be a poor pitiful me, my apologies if it seems like that. Cindy has affected many in a positive way, as she did me.

    Kay,
Being upset and writing about it is nothing to apologise for; let's face it, most of our poetry comes from the same, honest source.
    Take care,
    Ben

Kay, this is a safe place for you to open your heart and spill out pain. We all love and care about you, Sylvia, any others close to Cindy (or Anna for this matter) and are devastated or hurt by the news. Thank you for being vulnerable, so I know how to pray for your hearts as well.

I have beautiful experiences with hospice, and I just pray that if it is God's will to take Cindy home with Him, that the transition be peaceful and kind. I know many people who have been on and off of hospice in my line of work, so it's definitely not a sentence in every circumstance. It doesn't make this process or this news any less heartbreaking. Praying for Cindy, her family, and her PnQ family as well. <3

I don't have any words except prayers for Cindy asking God for a miracle. My eyes are full of tears and my heart hurts now.

Visited Cindy at the hospice center. She is resting and comfortable surrounded by many family and friends in and out. Thank you for your continued prayers. I will keep you updated as I'm sure you're aware she has many beloved friends here at P&Q.

It is my absolute wish that she is aware of you all by her bed and finds peace by your presence.

I was told today that in all her 18 years of battling this she has never looked so peaceful. That alone brings me so much comfort.

"has never looked so peaceful" - a true shaft of light in the darkness. If I know Cindy, wherever she is headed (back or away) she will do it with a smile on her face and courage that we should all take something from. She is an amazing woman and she is in my thoughts constantly.

Last update from her son was that she is still resting comfortably. He is holding up best he can. Please continue to uplift them in your prayers.

Absolutely! This time must be wearing on her family. They're keeping vigil, I understand, and need prayers as much as Cindy.

A gofundme has been set up for Cindy. This link has been shared to the PnQ Facebook group. If anyone would like this link, we are happy to share through PM. In the past the mods have declined sharing gofundme links, and in fairness we have decided to stick with that decision, but are absolutely willing to share privately or on facebook.

  • Daisy if you do

As bad as I hate that decision, I understand. I also have an address for her son if anyone would like to send cards or money directly to him. Just p.m. me for address. Thank you Mods as I am sure that was a difficult decision.
