What's love got to do with it? VALENTINE'S CONTEST!!

Hello! So with Valentine's Day just around the corner, I wanted to create a contest celebrating and cherishing each kind of love (special thanks to Maple for some inspiration/advice).

Now as Tina Turner sang, to some people love is "just a secondhand emotion". However, I believe love is an action, a choice. Love shares a story that touches every aspect of humanity and I want you to unravel that story.

Below are prompts that you can choose and in return I will pm you a photo to help inspire you.

Some of the prompts are literal description of the photo, some are the titles... but here's the thing: I want YOU to interpret the photo however your heart sees it. This isn't just going to be a contest about fairytales and "happily ever afters", I want your poems to have substance. Subjects may include: witnessing a birth, losing a loved one, finding love in an animal, the love of friendship, loving so hard despite the pain, etc. What's neat about some of the photos (from Flickr), is that a few of the photographers included info/ background about the piece. Feel free to use that or use your own imagination.

You can write from whatever perspective, but I want you to write me the story behind the photo. Don't TELL me, SHOW me. Let your emotions and heart/ soul truly shine in this piece.

You don't have to reserve the prompts. Please just pick one and pm me your choice, and I will send you the link to the photo. You may submit up to two poems each! Any questions, pm me at any time! Thanks and have a blast :D
