MA, you have the kindest voice.

Still trying to figure out what to record. Nothing reads aloud the way I hear it on the page. Ohhh wellll.

Oohh Narph, you probably sound better than you imagine. Record anything. I want to daydream to your voice. Is that creepy?

  • Narph

I recorded a song instead of a poem because my voice reciting my poetry makes me anxious. (Why?)

But in honor of your creepiness I recorded Creep by Radiohead, so there's that, at least.

    Oh god, this is awkward.

    Narph!!

    What the hell was that?

Creep is one of my all time favourite songs right from my era, (showing my age now)

    You smashed it.
If this was released as a single tomorrow I would buy it.

amazing vocal and loved the stripped back version.

I agree, MA, very soft & kind, plaintive even.

Narph! So beautiful! You absolutely rock. Love that song and this reminds me of just sitting, watching the sun set and reflecting.

Wow, Narph. Just wow. You should sing Jazz at clubs. You've got that seductive, sultry, contemplative thing going on.

Now after hearing narph I could never follow up. Only yaki and Britt know the sound of my voice so unless I am reading script from Gone with the wind you wouldn't understand my twang.

Btw baron I agree, go on the voice or something you are fantasamously wonderful!

Yaki... Shush! You're making me blush. I don't think I'll be doing any more song recordings, but maybe I'll recite a poem this week.

Jane...how come I missed it? Did you post it here? Post again...NOW!!!!

Narph...you blew me away...honestly, you have a great voice! I wonder if you've heard this version of Somewhere over the Rainbow...I think your voice would love it!!!!

Oh my gosh! You guys are the sweetest. Thank you.

Hellon, I have heard that song! I love his version, such a loss to the music world that he's gone.

And Yaki, I'm working on it.

In other news, I'm actually trying to work on my music/learn how to write songs. But I'm struggling with lyric-writing. If anyone has any lyrics that they want turned into a song, I'd love the opportunity to try! Or if you have anything you want to hear specifically, I love doing covers. I'll record it and send it to you. :D

Yaki never loses her swag and MaryAnne, you sound so mature .-. nice work :)

Also to Narph, you blow me away. Why aren't you on youtube and recording covers?!

This is just a draft I'm working on but it helps me to recite throughout the process .-.

Uhmm... Narph, now that you mentioned it

I've been told by a few people that this poem that I wrote could be turned into a song... would you like to give it a try?

Larry...it is beautiful, I chose it as one of the songs played at my mum's funeral.

Narph...I'd really LOVE to hear you singing this song....

I sing that song a ton, Hellon. I'll send you a version.

Saerelune! I already think your poetry is lovely, but it's entirely different hearing it read aloud. It's almost intoxicating to listen to, in a good way. Where are you from? I can't place your voice and I just realized that I've never asked you.

  • Hellon

Why don't you post it here Narph? I'm sure the others would love to hear it....can't wait!!!

  • Larry Chamberlin

I agree with Hellon, post it here!

BTW, Hellon, you hit it on the head. I was trying to ID Narph's style and Norah Jones is dead on target.
