Does anyone else eat pumpkin pie -not- around the holidays? I can't seem to do it. It's a seasonal pie for me. lol.

Well got through Pi day, finally. The girls were to bring pies to school on Monday. Keep in mind we live in a very small town. So the only grocery store we have closes at 8 on Sundays. You can probably see where this is going. So I am reminded at 8:05 p.m. they have to have pies. One is 18 yo and the other is 16. Uggggh, I didn't have enough ingredients nor time so had to go to dollar store and scrounge for something because apparently my oldest sent out a reminder to her friends and all their parents were at the dollar store for pie makings too. I made one Apple pie and one peach pie, finally got in the bed around midnight, back up at 5 and go to work, only to get home at 10:30. I am too old for pie day, it's a conspiracy from the school to get tired parents to cook their dessert.
