I keep letting impatient people
into my heart expecting
an extended stay,
but really they are just here
for business trip,
a little break from their 2.5 kids,
their picket fence, and their
Sunday brunch wives.
But I am always unknowing,
never realizing I am the
3 star hotel that they picked
to take a break from reality at
and I never realize until their bags
are packed, sitting at their feet,
they won't even look at me
as I say:

Where are you going?
Aren't you staying?
No?
You don't have the time,
I am too much trouble.
Ok.
I understand.
I hope you enjoyed your stay.
