What inspires you to write if anything?

Good question. I find inspiration in everything I see and do. I know this is putting it simply, but when your inspirational net is cast wide one catches ideas everywhere.
I guess it's like widening a view of the world from black and white to colour.

    Maybe this question could include:
What tips are there for someone experiencing writers block?

I have to agree with Michael. I see inspiration in anything really but my main kind of inspiration is past events and things that are going on in my little brain lol most of the stuff I right is pretty much my reality but then others are fiction etc.

As for your question Michael "What tips are there for someone experiencing writers block?" I believe this is a good one and will help many people too. I had a long haul in writers block until recently when I started writing again and my first inspiration was just the budding flowers of spring. I feel nature is a massive inspiration to those going through writers block.. Just get out there, sit somewhere quiet or maybe not and write all you see or hear and there you can have a really good piece and it doesn't have to rhyme either. :)

    Good luck all.

Try writing in forms - short ones seem easier; less words I suppose!? It doesn't matter if the form is correct at first, as long as you are writing. Acrostics are good too - write about anything at all - like an:

    A
    P
    P
    L
    E

Another good one is people watching.. Some of us figured people watching along with writing their life stories for them makes for some great poetry. :)

I love all these answers, i agree acroustics are fun to write and they really do help.

Writers block is awful of course, I'm sure we've all experience d it at least once. I think if you try to force your writing you will end up hating it, i like to let words flow and edit later ^^

Daily life situations, society, politics, books, art and music.

I think the best thing to deal with writer's block is writing about it.

Nice comment Larry - you have to write what you feel. Feelings tend to spark from external stimuli.
