During Tragedy, People Come Together

Last week, late Monday evening, my cousin Phillip died in a wheat truck on the side of the road. I got the news Tuesday morning. My family had just started harvesting our wheat crop. And here is what the small town farming community did for my family....Phillip was more of an uncle than a cousin, helped me learn about the farm when I was little. I loved him dearly.....

    Thank you everyone.

I was just blown away by how fast and how many gathered to finish the harvest. 6 hours....it only took 6 hours....just really touched my heart.

I just felt sharing my familys news report might spark some hope of care and compassion.

Andrea, my deepest condolences for your loss. It is so wonderful the way a community rallies together when they lose a member, they really are a large family who take care of each other. Prayers and hugs to you.

As much as the loss is sad, the coming together of his neighbors is wonderful. No flowers that die or sentimental cards -- real action!
