Pokemon go

The game is centered around moving, getting outdoors and being social, so for that alone I think it should be commended. It might just be a fad but whether it is or not, it has a lot of positives imo (despite the obvious idiots who take it too far and run out in front of traffic, bump into people, etc.)

I was growing up when the original Pokemon explosion hit. So it's partially a trip down memory lane playing the game now. I'm close to level 9 but live in a rural place with no pokemon or pokestops around so I've had to make do with stocking up when in town. Haven't been to a gym yet but I'm all about hatching eggs!

    Exeggutor 1452
    vaporeon 1370
    Flareon 1311
    Seaking 1064
    magmar 1035
    aerodactyl 1008
    scyther1001

Those are my top ones. I managed to hold on to a gym for a little while. But the gym level was only 2 deep. There aren't many if any on mystic around here so I haven't been able to train much either. I know people put it down but I don't care. I enjoy it. A teacher friend posted to Facebook not long ago about people harping on her about it. Her reply was "I have a master's degree, two retirement funds and an excellent credit rating, Excuse me while I go find a pikachu". I think as long as you don't act stupid then there are benefits. Doing my first 5k as a fundraiser for band next Saturday. Yes we will have pokestops and I will be hatching eggs.

I'll bet two weeks ago that 5k would have been a lot harder.

    Kevin,
That's a whole new issue. My son's area in Dallas (Texas) recently experienced an earthquake which is being blamed on the fracking. Seems they had a dormant fault that was activated by fracking.

The Pokemon probably did it. They have already killed a few people, caused car crashed and ended relationships. Who knows what else they get up too. :)

The app now opens with warnings:
    Be aware of your surroundings
Do not go into dangerous areas to collect Pokemons

I think Jane nailed it: careless gamers are Pokeyheads
