Passing of a River: LTFR

PnQ says goodbye to a club this week that has been active for over five years. Like the Flowing River, started by Ms. Sunshine in January 2011 is closing its doors for good. Below are the members who have taken a dip in the river. Some lived on the banks for several seasons, some were just crossing over to the other side.

I hope all have as deep emotions about the club as do I. Remembering the frantic whirlwind of the site wide club challenges (especially Abby's!); also looking back on all the threads for formed poetry, contests in the club, advice threads, support for those who were down, celebrations of marriages, grief for passing of loved ones; so many things were shared. Sadly for me, I am no longer the Godfather. Thanks to all who took part but more than anyone, thanks to the creator, Nana, and mother of inspiration who brought us together. THANK YOU, Rania.

Larry, you will always be the GodFather, we are still alive you know, it's just the html markup tags of the club that are gone <3

I really loved and still love LTFR, I met some of the best people with whom I've had emotional, friendly, happy and sad interactions, both on the personal and poetic level.

I carry with me many blur and many crystal-clear memories from within the club activity and from club members themselves.

Thank you everyone for your support in keeping the club breathing and for sticking around to it despite past dull activity periods of time.

And we had to let go because everyone got busy for a severe period of time, that activity got paralyzed, somehow couldn't be revived again; and taking into account that some just could not emotionally afford letting me go :P we had to set the river itself free.

Thank you again Larry and everyone else, I love you all dearly.

I haven't been apart of this club (as you know) but wish you all well!!

I associate this club with having some of the finest poets I have read, anywhere, famous or not, and so I just wanted to say that LTFR will be sorely missed....you guys are amazing.
