Wasn't from the mods. 99% of the time we don't know why people close/open/close accounts, but even if we did, unless given permission, we don't discuss with others. Just have to wait it out for him to come back.

ETA: I say it wasn't from the mods so that people would know we didn't suspend lol

Sometimes it is nice to take a break from the site, or if time allows take a seat at the round table.

I'm sure he has his reasons. One thing I do know is: you can't delete the desire that is poetry.

    All the best Ben.

People rarely leave PnQ for good. Do not fret, dear friends. I think the last thing Ben would want is to hurt anyone by leaving for good without a heartfelt goodbye.

Ben and I are good friends (and the worst of enemies often) and as Jane says, he certainly would not leave the site without a genuine thanks and a proper goodbye to everyone who has been so supportive to him.
He's a funny sort of chap, though, and often does silly things in fits of passion that he may or may not regret come sunrise. In this case, I think he felt a fresh start was best and - as Darren so rightly points out - a little more time sitting round the table with his family (be it round or any other shape) and sharpening his blade for future poems, which I know is really what it's all about for him. He simply loves writing poetry.

    All the very best,

    SL

Ah no hard feelings, I managaed to dig him out of his grave somewhere and we had a chat and he explained all to me so I'm all good now, just was a bit shocked he didn't say goodbye to me as I saw him as a close friend and mentor, just as Ddavidd was to me when I first began, but all is at peace now :)

On that score, Larry, I couldn't possibly begin to commit. Maybe Ben may know a little more...
