WINNERS:
An Angel's Tale
by Sir Lancelot
10 + 10 + 7 = 27
"The imagery in this piece is really what stood out to me this week, I mean as many stories as this could have been intended to get across to the PnQ audience, it truly speaks to the newsletter in it's amazing use of imagery and it's phenomenal "twist" on style. This absolutely stunning write completely captivated PnQ this week and if nothing else it should be recognized for the story telling masterpiece. Not to mention the fact that this author's usual voice comes out to play in a newly and nearly unrecognizable way which added a much needed flavor to the contest and the author's page." (10)
"This poem is such an elegant rhyme piece, that grips the heart, mind and soul!
I was mesmerized by each line. What an powerful and lovely poem!" (10)
"The imagery is wonderful and the idea behind it excellent.
The concept of an angel being send down to Earth not knowing initially why he was being sent, then the gradual realization of his purpose as he notices the destruction of nature he realizes he Is to see past what humanity has done and bring a positive heaven sent message. A very compelling read." (7)

Just another rambling
by Senyru
10 + 10 = 20
"I read the opening line incorrectly a couple of times, wanting to say midst, instead of mist. Either way my stumbling did not affect the outcome of reading this fascinating poem. I see the writer acts as a catalyst for someone who doesn't see them as "relationship material" but yet you still pick up the pieces from every failed relationship they have." (10)
"Google salar de uyuni :$ honestly this is mesmerizing. What a very powerful rambling.
There is power in these authentic words; just a random poet speaking up their emotions, and at many points it sounded as tho the poet is not taking a breath..
There is something to admire in almost every line. So much longing and so much recalling..
Well expressed and very well written. Coherent and deep." (10)

Reflash
by Skyler
7 + 7 = 14
"This unique love poem is so creative and elegant! I adore the ending and admire the word usage to create the mood. The ending line just got me!" (7)
"As heartrending as this piece is, it appears to be highly relatable and extremely moving when the end reveals that something SO simple as a bobby pin could drive a soul so mad. Lately a lot of artists have found symbolism or intense meaning in a bobby pin or even a few stray ones between couch cushions or left on the bathroom sink - but this one completely blew me away. There is style in its own, cleaver way. This piece is just picturesque enough to understand and yet simple enough that anyone can put their own story to it. Wonderfully potent write!" (7)

HONORABLE MENTIONS:
What do you think
by Everlasting
"I read this poem several times and each time I see more in it.
It's a very unique and unusual poem that sets everything on its head. One that really makes you read and re-read and think about every word.
I particularly like the bazaar yet wonderfully creative and catchy line 'I walk with my head and not with my feet,' which is repeated through the poem
and the unusual idea that an orange tree stops growing oranges and instead delivers mandarins and tangerines. It was weird the idea that toe nails could be hair yet as the poem progressed it continued to deliver even more questions which I have never heard of before 'Whether feet have eyes and nails have feet.' It is a wonderfully entertaining and thought provoking piece." (10)

September Sky
by Mahal Ko Kuya No
"The poem, as one commenter stated, has an old fashioned feel to it. It felt very cinematic, but not so much that one couldn't relate. The imagery blended way to make readers believe there was perhaps a death, if not of a person at least the death of a relationship. Beautiful poem. Very much enjoyed." (7)

Hapless
by Mahal Ko Kuya Ko
"The title, I'm always drawn into such words. It works like magnet with me; like, come and read me.
Sad nature poem, wide imagery, complex word mix and simple metaphors. It's a perfect combination, with human-like connotations..
The last four lines embraced so much despair and loneliness. It's just sad.
Spring won't come...
^ nailed. In a sad way. But nailed.." (7)

Earth's Intelligence
by Satish Verma
"The beauty in this piece is that the topic is something both elegant and completely unrelated to all the drama and unrest going on in the world lately. The descriptions are both fun and wheel spinning, and yet off the wall without being totally off the rail - which was an interesting way to complete such a piece - but it worked 100% of the way through. Which is something I truly admire about this author this week, they tried something both unrealistic and beautiful yet al the while the author stuck it out and tried to make that work. Which this week was a success." (4)

Saying Goodbye
by Lady Nik
"This broke my heart! Emotional poem indeed! What I admire about this poem is Lady Nik's ability to make things flow when the tears are flowing.. I know I cried when I read this! Just powerful!" (4)

Dog is A Man's Best Friend.
by Jenni Marie
"With so many excellent poems again this week judging has been a challenge so I felt I must mention the one poem that
moved me enough to bring tears to my eyes. The imagery perfectly captures exactly the feelings of loss of all the little things that endear us about dogs. Anyone who has ever loved a dog can completely relate to the emotion in this poem. What better dedication to a loved spirit that has passed on than to put words to a poem that will endure the passing of time." (4)

The Cunning of Clouds
by Sir Lancelot
"The sky swallowed me in its
ambiguous musings and
spat me out with the rain.
This line immediately had my attention. I have been so blinded by something only to realize later how my fascination with whatever had my attention was short lived. When the realization comes it feels as though you have been spat out and can finally see clearly. I believe those of us that are "optimists" truly do see through rose colored glasses. It's saddening when the blinders come off. I really enjoyed this poem and connected with the subject matter." (4)

Wrong Roads
by Baby Rainbow
"I love the diary-nature of his piece. The fact that it flowed with simplicity and yet still relied on natural metaphorical twists; slipping from heart; the snap - > bounced off... etc
The combination of these words the way the poet worded it, make it sound as though it was written effortlessly.
The connection between roads and relationships is always a tight one; because at the end there is a certain destination that should lie infront of any relationship, and sometimes it's not the one we seek.
Touching poem." (4)
