What's up with the pics guys?

Hey Ben, Darcy, Em...

I noticed in the weekly contest thread your pictures. Does the pose hold a meaning?

And thinking about it, to everybody else, just asking out of randomness, why did you choose your profile picture to be the one you have?

I was nagged mercilessly by my club-mates to post a picture of myself so that they could 'put a face to the name'. I tried to protest, but my hand was forced in the end. Anyway, that picture was taken by my son in Snowdonia and I can genuinely say I had no idea it was being taken.
Long story short, it seems to be rather popular and I do claim the pose as my own!

One good pose deserves another just the same. Lol

It's a good, magazine-like pose. Lol.

Lucero, I picked mine because when I was a baby my hair was always compared to dandelion fluff. My family even nicknamed me a Spanish word for it. So when I saw that picture I just thought it was fitting lol

I try to change avatars regularly.

The latest was taken by Rosaura at the Bean in Chicago. That guy I'm holding up is Heavy!

Dashiel, haha... a few years ago, I was taking pictures with my laptop. Pretty much, I was experimenting with the different filters that the program had. On a shelf, I found some type of sphere, and with the X-ray, i took the picture. That picture was the result. Ever since, I fell in love with it. Why? I do not know. How about yours?

Poetess, that's a pretty cool story. If you don't mind, what Spanish word did they say?

Hello well I guess I saw Bens and Michaels and thought the pose looked good though I had To get my best side. I wonder if anybody will pull of the pose as good as those guys though.

I had a similar pose posted for months, also taken by my child (Jessica in my case). Maybe I'll put it back up.

The nickname is Pelusa. Which basically means fluff. Lol

Wouldn't it be great to put faces to names? I bet you could all master the pose perfectly. I had to improvise though as only had the floor to sit on haha
