That made me chuckle but me in a Palace... Do I get to wear a tiara and be bowed to?? Lol

    1. 1) Green Mile 2) grease 3) dirty dancing 4) die hards 5) ghost

    2. I used to love watching wacky races, Hong Kong phooey, Tom and Jerry and scooby doo

    3. Hmm all the gory details lol?? I wake up anytime from 6-8 but usually the earlier hours unless I'm poorly. I put on my glasses or I wouldn't be able to see haha I find my dressing gown and slippers then go downstairs to make myself a coffee (strong with a dash of red top milk) which I take into the living room to watch the news or turn on the radio depending on my mood ie if I wake up a little depressed I'll listen to music to raise my spirits rather than the news after my coffee I'll go and make breakfast usually toast or some weetabix/bran flakes eat those go shower and brush my teeth and do my hair (I usually only wear make up when I go somewhere special and have to make an impression though I'm not sure why) after dressing I'll have another coffee around 10 and then with music in ears I take a nice but fast walk to work.. I work as a dinner lady from 11.30-1.30 where I serve and on alternative days I'll wash the pots or wipe the trays… I then walk home arriving there around 2.30ish where I'll have a quick lunch, a soft drink usually blackcurrant have a quick wash then change into my nightly work clothes. I start my night job at 5 so set off around 4.20 to get there where I work my butt off again till around 11am (1am on weekends) but I only work there weds, Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sunday (the weekends I do sometimes do earlies as it's a weatherspoons so we serve breakfast) anyway I digress, when I get home I switch on the radio just to unwind and usually fall asleep in ‘my’ chair for an hour maybe 2 only waking with a cricked neck then take myself up to bed.. Oh on weds I go to slimming world for 9am.. Today I put on a lb lol.. Well you did ask. On Tuesdays I pick up my nephews and nieces and give them their tea with me and play lots and lots of games which I usually lose (I let them win haha not) on Mondays I make time for myself, sometimes window shop and other times usually when it's nice sit in the garden reading, working my way through coffee and generally chilling out. See look now you've made everyone now knows that I'm boring. Oh I might also add when I can I come on here just to read and comment.

    4. When walking I listen on my phone when I remember my headphones. I have a play list which at the moment consists of meat loaf, bon Jovi, rock anthem and Elton John lol at home I listen either the TV or radio which are generally tuned into heart.. The radio is tuned into heart 80s though so I can get up and dance, dance, dance :)

    5. Oooh it'd have to be steak, chips and gravy or meat pie mmmm. Actually maybe a roast dinner.. Oh you've got my taste buds tingling now haha

    Thanks for your questions

"finally overcome a domestically violent relationship some may wonder why I'm proud of doing so but I think it speaks for itself."
You should be very, very proud of this, and I hope your loved ones are proud of you too! Some never find the courage or resources to leave.

"starting to believe in myself a bit more."
    Wonderful, Em. You should.

    Owls are wonderful. Good choice.

Question #4: What are your favorite smells?
Question #5: Where are your favorite spots/places to think, contemplate, or wander?

Edit: Crap, I keep doing this... it's Jane!

Thank you Jane. That's an easy mistake to make being on the mod account lol I'd get so confused.

My favourite smells are freshly cut grass, lavender and babies, not the sicky smell some babies have or the poopy smell just the talc and freshly washed and fed babies haha (yes I'm broody lol)

There's a spot I always like to walk to when I get a chance and it's in the middle of the woods near to where I live which has a little waterfall and on the way they now have a couple of pigs which I always feed as there's a sign that says "you can feed me this, this and this otherwise don't bother" anyway its called the plantations Wigan, you can always find it under Haigh Hall too as that's where I usually end up :)

Mm I love lavender. I have been cooking with it lately, experimenting a little bit since I love the smell. Lavender honey pork chops are easy and yummy, and I've made these cookies twice -- very good: http://www.spachethespatula.com/salted-white-chocolate-lavender-cookies/

I know what you mean about the various baby smells. Clean babies smell wonderful.

The spot you walk to... it sounds like you live in a fairytale. I'm envious. So lovely.

Question #6: What period of history would you NOT like to visit, but you find fascinating or interesting?
Question #7: Do you have or have you ever had recurring dreams or nightmares?
Question #8: If you could live 500 years (barring any freak accidents), would you?

Oooh lavender cookies I'll have to try those

Question #6: hmm I did gcse level history and found it all pretty interested but more so when Hitler reign. I'd loved to have been present when then Berlin Wall was pulled down, that would have been a remarkable place to be when that happened.
Question #7: I used to have a dream about chasing my Nan when she passed on, she is was a big part of my life and I think I wanted closure deep down as police were treating it as suspicious so were doing a post mortem and we couldn't have our final goodbye for a few months and was unable to see her at the Chapel of rest due to the decomposition of her body, I still think this to that day that I wanted closure because as soon as her funeral came around the dream stopped.
Question #8: I don't think I'd want to live that long in all honesty.. Reminds me of the green mile though

    Thanks for your questions Jane

    more to follow...

    2. D.I.Y - describe the last time to did a little do-it-yourself. Do you have any tools?

    3. Needlework - can you sew a button on a shirt/ darn a hole?

I know I'm so gutted they stop them although I'm told they do show them sometimes on boomerang or cartoon network or something like that but I have dvds of them that I watch sometimes hahaha I'm such a big kid at heart maybe you should invest and relive your youth too??

    1) ermm I'd love to tight rope, the death wheel not sure of the real name for it but where you ride the bike around the cage lol, I'd love to learn to juggle and juggle well, walk on stilts and breathe fire hmm I'm sure they're all in the circus though maybe I'm just dreaming with lack of sleep??! If so, I pass haha

    2) ooh is painting and decorating classed as DIY as I've just moved and have decorated all over the house all by myself for the first time ever as my sister usually helps out or should that be I help her?!? I have put in a few new plug sockets, a few new light switches, done vinyl tiled bathroom and kitchen floors (self adhesive mind but had to be lined up correctly because of the pattern) I've also put up my bed and the spare bed, I've put up a coat hook and new door handles... Anything else I might have missed I'll apologise profusely to it incase it rots or falls off a hahaha!!

    3) I can do basic sewing like hems, patchwork, putting on new buttons and repair work.

    4) I can do really good cartwheels, handstands, headstands, a back/front flip and back/front rolls but do steer clear of them as I have been newly diagnosed with osteoporosis.

    5) I went to the dentist March and needed a filling unfortunately

Thanks for your questions Mr D :)

    Back for my final two!

Question #9: What question do you most like to ask in these poet of the fortnight threads? Please answer it yourself if it has not already been asked.
Question #10: What is one thing you are naturally good at? What is one thing you have become good at through hard work or years of experience, but did not come naturally to you?

I love working don't get me wrong but my favourite part of day is when I get home from dinner ladying and grab a quick lunch/coffee and am able to sit down with my feet up for 20/30 mins and just feel my body relaxing before the mayhem of the second job..
Hmmm I can't choose a 'favourite' time of year as I love christmas, well don't we all? Just seeing the different decorations, all the pretty trees and lights although I absolutely hate the cold/snow as I am a generally cold person anyway due to a thyroid disease but I also love spring watching all the flowers bloom, all the leaves come back on the trees and listening to all the birds tweeting even if they wake me up at 5.30 sometimes with they beautiful tunes lol

    Thanks for stopping by :)

I always ask what era I would go back to and I'm sure I answered it with Shakespeare times so that I could just say 'I knew that guy' or 'he was a real cool guy' etc etc

Hmm OK I'm not sure how to answer this one as I don't believe I'm good at much although people that know me would no doubt say differently but I'm naturally good at soothing babies/kids when they have tantrums say if my nephew is having a big paddy I only have to say his name in a soothing voice not a vicious one and he wipes away his tears so maybe that was my gift though maybe it won't work if had children of my own and I'm not sure if this is a legitimate answer either but it was the first one to pop into my head...

An after thought I have started making jewellery recently and it's going OK

Thank you for this opportunity Jane :)

All excellent answers, Em. You're endearingly humble, although you obviously have a lot to offer. Really enjoyed having you as a PotF. Hope you enjoyed yourself!
