Lost One

Just got an idea. Have you ever been inspired to write something by another members poem? Be it a sequel, rebuttal, or maybe it sent your mind careening down memory lane but in a whole different direction; I propose we play a game.
The rules are simple. Choose a poem from this site. Leave a heartfelt comment on that poem and the link to this thread. Post a poem here inspired by your choice.

...And Back
The dismal dark and dreary sky
With meloncholy morose eyes
Looks down at me and saps my strength
Granting shadows obscene unholy length
They drag my spirits down and under
Tear my iron will asunder
Downtrodden tapped in my own hell
I find something to break the spell
For each of my daughters I light a candle
And sanctify a forgotten mantle
And through their clear clarion light
I find again the strength to fight

Before Dawn (Triolet-ish)
Always darkest before the dawn
It's brighter with the curtains drawn
Try to forget what lies beyond
Always darkest before the dawn
When we forget our common bonds
Can't find the strength to carry on
Always darkest before the dawn
Its brighter with the curtains drawn
AUTHORS NOTE:
Inspired by "Too Dark Out There" by Ben Pickard.
