    Entries :

    1 - Bad Moon Rising by Maple Tree

    The moon melts these senses of mine
    within constant fury, panic sets In,
    I've known no fear until now; those
    demons come closer after midnight.

    My level of sanity has risen a record high
    as clear water revives my soul; purifying a heart
    that simply wants to love and be loved.

    Bad thoughts are molding inside coffee cups
    and cigarettes, there's nothing I can do
    except listen to this old song and remember
    how simple life was back then.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    2 - Color My World by The Fairy Mary
    Vivid colors lacked
    in my world, no conflict
    in the shades of grey;
    it all seemed peaceful
    until you slaughtered
    the tranquility out of it,
    and splattered hues
    known to my vision
    bringing chaos to
    intentional blindness.
    Dark red liquid puddles
    into a canvas that
    sheltered a fragile mind.
    A cry of victory all but
    spells out that I've lost
    and now you've colored
    my world
    3- Tequila Girl (Acrostic) by Milly Hayward
    Tequila girl dancing down the streets
    each day got a smile for who she meets
    quick try and catch her dance if you can
    under the bridge she's making a plan
    if you jump right in you'll have a chance
    life with that girl will be one long dance
    always got fun and joy in her heart
    Girls like that are few and far apart
    if you love her let her know your heart
    release your inner tequila child
    love life together dancing and wild
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    4 - When a Man Loves a Woman by EM

    When a man loves a woman
    he sees no one but her -
    he still smiles at her beauty
    20 years later
    just as he did the first meeting -
    even if those words
    ‘you're beautiful’
    still make her blush

    his love and loyalty withstand
    any of her moodswings

    he'll be the first up; always
    with a gentle wake up kiss,
    coffee in hand,
    breakfast on a tray in bed

    for with their first kiss
    he, unknowingly to her,
    sealed it -
    ‘until my dying breath’.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    5 - Gloria by Mr. Darcy
    Gloria
    Over a yawning-morning-city,
    birds stretched across
    a strawberry-swirl sky.
    All the long day
    bustling-feet beat the streets;
    whilst lorries, cars and bikes
    chased the heat, until finally
    smiling, it
    tipped that hat,
    to the wide-eyed-moon.
    In the snouting-delving-dusk
    a slavering stare
    watched the street-walkers
    patrol the heeled-stocking-corners.
    Yesterday’s headline
    wafts open and
    quakes on the pavement. . .
    “The Alphabet Killer strikes
    for the sixth night in a row!
    Last night, Flora Moore, 24,
    was lethally stabbed
    with a single pencil
    which, like the others, was
    left like a dart in her eye”
    …before, being wind-snatched.
    “Are you lonely, honey?”
    she says, playfully,
    leaning into the car window
    they drive for
    just a few lonely-streets.
    “what will it be, sugar?”
    she, coos.
    Back-lit, his eyes
    ‘Glow’
    Wider, his smile
    G r o w s
    Then, in a guttural growl:
    “You're gonna die!”
    Leathered-wing-beats crawled
    across a glowering moon
    as the sharpened pencil was raised. . .
    Within a split-second,
    fire-filled rage
    snuffed all light
    CRACK
    An explosion
    Pomegranate brain
    erupted as skull splinters
    ricocheted, pebbling
    windows
    lining
    seat
    and. . .
    as wiry globules
    of psychopath were still
    slithering onto the
    dash
    Gloria wiped
    her face
    her gun and left
    into the
    noiseless-grinning-night.
    6 - All I Have to Do is Dream (rondeau) by Michael
    as nightfall comes and so I dream
    my sleep beholds a vivid scene.
    In oceans deep and seas of blue
    I swim around to search for you.
    A vision of my mermaid queen.
    She comes to greet me at a scene
    with hair of gold and eyes of green.
    I hope to sleep the whole night through
    ...as nightfall comes
    The sun peeps up and yawns a beam
    you kiss my lips and leave my scene.
    I wake up with a hollow view
    my eyes are full of missing you.
    But ..all I have to do is dream
    ...as nightfall comes
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    7 - After Midnight by Larry

    She cannot work until the world sleeps
    with doors locked, windows shuttered
    except for those high above
    (since no one needs worry about them).

    Down from the inky roof she climbs
    enters these impossible places
    to steal from the dozing people
    their most valuable possession.

    Creeps inside, past the bewitched dog
    ignores the desk and hidden safe
    slinks into the children’s room:
    sleeping unaware like the dead.

    She breathes on them, causing deep
    inhalations to lung’s capacity
    and sucks out their souls
    as they release their breath.

    Vitality renewed, youth regained,
    she leaves the young cherubs,
    now shriveled and prematurely aged,
    to be found the morrow and mourned.

    She escapes detection leaving
    the way she came and flies away
    to her casket in the mortuary
    until the next new moon’s darkness
    and her unlit midnight flight.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Twelfth of never
    Perhaps a paradox,
    but I have seen roses grew on the ice;
    an old flame burning with vapors of guilt
    in the blowing wind for ignition
    as well as an apology quoted with
    anagram of love.
    I am drowning in the fear of unknown
    and becoming a rebel
    (the forgotten one
    in between the saints and the sinners)
    — a devil which is injected
    with toxic medicine of fake life and
    held captive in prison of this selfish world.
    Will you wake up from the war
    and forgive the accused on trial,
    if I write you a love song with a heavy heart?
    -
    Will you peace-out with my misconduct
    to save a life by reaching out for the angel
    falling from its grace?
    -
    Will you quit the resentful sleep
    for a beautiful dream?
    And if not,
    close your eyes once again to look deeper
    and tell me...
    Don't you see two teenagers,
    pieces of a broken rock,
    poorly put together in the twelfth of never?
