leap
like a gazelle
in a golden forest -
but I never needed
speed
or height
or distance...
I needed the kind
of leap where I
rely on
nothing but lungs,
the breath of a soul
fighting.
I needed to trust
no one else,
landing
in complete
acceptance of
myself.
