    This may make you giggle

My son came in on Saturday and we were mucking about. He says do you fancy a bit of a grapple (At 19 I think he just wanted to see if he can take the old man) not one to back down I agree

I take him to ground and we are both trying to get the upper hand when he lets out a yelp

I'm like "are you ok" he replies thunder just bit me. He shrugs it off and we start again. As soon as we start again the pup comes and and gives him a nip on the back of his leg,

Thunder is only 6 months old and still very much a pup but even so he's already 2" taller than our collie

Think this was his way of saying get off my dad.

    I think to myself

    That's my dawg.

This made me laugh. Thanks, Craig.
My daugs enjoy a play fight, except when they are not involved. In these cases, they bark their heads off.

He's already already at that point of !where dad goes I go!

Leaving on Monday knowing I'll be away for 4 days is hard as I can hear him as I close the door.

Wish I had one of those truck driving jobs where you're allowed your dog with you.

Mine is all quarries and dangerous environments..

    !FOR NOW!

I've just been doing a bit more background reading about my dog.

Basically it's make up is generally and predominately English border collie. But they bread it with stronger dogs

It didn't make it more aggressive quite the opposite. I've a collie and the difference is massive. The collie is very vocal as where the huntaway only barks when he needs to.

The border collie will nip a sheep to get it to move. The huntaway will use it's voice to the same job.
Fantastic family pets but rubbish as a guard dog as they only bark when working.

Oh and this is important. They will only take one master apparently. I think that's pretty true of most medium to large dogs though.

Still one to think about though. Amd if you are that master they are to affectionate

    this I can vouch for

Really lovely to hear about your dogs antics. Dogs are wonderfully loyal. I have a small dog who thinks shes a big dog and where i go she goes. Shes getting very old now at fourteen but still sticks to me like glue.

In her younger days if anyone started play fighting near her she would pick up a soft toy in her mouth and play bites through it so she didnt hurt anyone. It was very sweet. Milly x

I've always found small dogs to have a lot more aggression lol

14 ain't old she's my old boy was over 17 when I had to do the deed, pooch 1 was 16 I think

They slow down a bit but I'm sure you will have a lot more cuddles to come. X
