    Hello, Rania here ! We have two Sonnets that'll be highlighted on the front page this week! The Sonnets that won both judges' hearts were Darcy's Field of Dreams and Pen Pickard's Line in the Ocean. Meanwhile, Andrea's chilling ''Awareness'' poem will also spark its way for next week.

    We have one Honorable Mention by M(/)U: Songs in the Snow!

    There were two judges this week and thus we only have the below votes and comments. Thank you for everyone involved, readers, voters, writers, commenters, and nominators.

    Fields of Dreams by Mr. Darcy Points: 10 + 10

    How complicated is our brain that leads us to all of theses kinds of emotions? Depression is a hell pit, and Mr. Darcy expressed it in an original way, that brought me chills!! I visualized this wicked spider crawling into nerves, slowly munching on a brain. The poem felt so relatable in every aspect!! (10)

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Michael paints a vivid picture of losing one's sanity. First he adds arachnids crawling across a "pulsing" mind. The spiders were bad enough, now the brain is doing it's own little dance. To fight this darkness in hopes you make it to the light in one piece all written disgustingly beautiful in the form of a sonnet! Bravo Sir! (10)
    Line in the Ocean (English Sonnet) by Ben Pickard Points: 4 + 7
    The poem holds a love that serenades through words, carefully chosen. We almost could hear Ben whispering them. The ending line “Denounce the ocean for a simple lake.” is the part that makes this poem special. This is a package of love that anyone could feel!! (4)
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Ben is truly a master of a sonnet. He writes these as easily as he breathes (or so it seems). This beauty is a lovely write to perhaps his wife, letting her know that in every breath he will take he will continue to make life easier for her. She is his everything and no matter what he will move heaven and earth. Truly lovely Ben... (7)

    Awareness by Maple Tree Points: 7

    There is magic in each word. Melodies from nightingales deepens with the night. Crickets become the reminder for misery, that feels like they are feeding on thoughts of a mind that cant rest. Illusions roam around, and as if they’re real, eyes filled with tears sparkle like diamonds. There is no going back. Mountains so high, seems impossible to climb, but then the moon soothes the soul in a beautiful shift of form. A dark deep nature piece, one of it’s kind!!

    Songs in the Snow by [M(/)U] 4 points

    This is such a lovely piece. Beautifully rhymed and it spoke to my heart. I felt a touch of sadness in this piece also, a bit of longing for some warmth in this relationship, trying to recapture something that may have been lost?
