Dont look for THE ONE. Look for happiness in the NOW. You are 18, and it sounds like you have more of your share of baggage and emotional problems that will make themselves known in any relationship. You need to learn to trust again, slowly easing yourself into a situation where you dont have control. If he deserves your trust, he will earn it in time, and you will have to trust him not to hurt you like other people have in your past. Dont make him suffer because of your past, work through it with him. Dont break up with him because you want prince charming, because he very well could be him, and you are throwing him away.

Let him love you and love him back. See what the future holds, but dont sabotage it because of projected fears or insecurities. Work through it with him. He will understand if he really loves you.
