Invocation (Rondeau) by Michael (7 points)
The ratio of us exploiting our beautiful planet, is much higher than the acts
we’re trying to make fixing others mistakes. It’s a never ending issue. I love the line
“...so hear my plea”. This is why when formed poetry meets an important topic
which is well expressed, it becomes really powerful and leaves a strong impression!!

Invocation (Rondeau) by Michael (7 points)
Michael's poem this week is a plead for us to stop this destruction of this earth
before it's too late. He also writes this in Rondeau form which is no easy feat. He
has taken quite a shine to this form and it shows perfectly in this piece. He states
this with hard words but we need words like these if we are ever going to change
things around. I for one, hope we all hear his plea.

A poem about a dead father by nourayasmine (4 points)
This is one of the poems, where you find yourself unable to leave a comment.
The memory of a beloved one that still feels so fresh, and is still and will always
linger around.
“In these few seconds
before the truth
hits me like a bite of frost,”
^
I gasped after reading this part, and suddenly became chilly. The part is what
made me grasp the feelings within this poem.
This is a sad and impactful poem!!

A poem about a dead father by nourayasmine (7 points)
My heart sank with this poem written by Noura. To write of a father and his
passing and the pain mixed with sorrow of losing him has been captured in this
elegant poem. Its heart wrenching and yet with Nouras classic and modern style.
I just adore this poem!

The tide shall decide by Star (10 points)
This poem reminds me of a dream mixed with the classic tale of Rapunzel...
what a mix!! Its in depth sadness and visuals made me fall in love with this poem.
To be falling in a dream is loss of control and the line with hair as ropes is very
significant. This is a metaphoric gem and I just think its a beautiful poem!!

Tea Cup Illusions by Angie (4 points)
Angie's delicate piece this week was a lovely thought of wouldn't be wonderful if?
To have your love return to you as if they had never left. To continually have that
one person who you would do anything to have back. She writes this beautifully,
I was swept up in her visuals and I would love to have this moment too.

Unwritten Poem by Glenn Gay (4 points)
I have read this poem 8 times now and each time I get more messages within
this simplistic and yet power filled piece. "She’s more than words she’s more
than poetry, she is beauty is what keeps singing to me as I read it, what a creative
and elegant poem by Glenn this week!

Under a Dimmed Moon (Collaboration with Hiraeth) by Star (10 points)
Star and Mark weaved a magical tale of two magical creatures trying to make things
work, trying to stay together despite their differences. Things are special, unique as
they are. Unfortunately they are unable to escape their demons and instead of
destroying each other he lets her go, only this will destroy her too. You could put
this magical tale into today's relationships, we all have our baggage, capable of
destroying a relationship. Sometimes it's better to let the other person go then
drag them into your ruin.

Harvest Lost by Ben Pickard (10 points)
We don’t realize how precious something is, until a moment where everything is
unveiled in front of us. Simple said, complicated with feelings, yet beautifully worded.
The poem began as storytelling, which had a special moment that hooked me into the
poem.
And then there are some really unique parts, like:
“The sun was hugging the horizon as evening
began to swallow the day,”
Also the fresh wildflower garnishing the trembling hands. And the ending that left
me in an awe. “and making peace with the fluidity of happiness.”
Being imperfect, but having confidence in yourself that you have goo qualities. Yet
being afraid of rejection. You get away from your post hoping, settling yourself
hoping happiness will come your way.
