Amaran by DarkLight ( 10 points )
This poem is in the life category and yes there is a powerful inspirational message
within this poem however it’s filled with love and devotion as well. What a beautiful
display of colors, visuals and word usage, just a beautiful poem by Darklight!!

Wistful thinking by Michael (10 points)
I honestly struggled this week for only voting for three poems, the poetry was so
good all around. But this poem only is what I was sure I should vote for. I don’t know
how many times I read this, and I keep loving it even more every time I read it. I
reflected on myself, I reflected on my habits and what they do to the environment. I
was left wondering whether there is less pollution from the COVID spread around the
world. This is such a thoughtful powerful poem!!

Empty by Rania Moallem ( 7 points )
Rania chose a perfect title for this poem- She visually display the word empty to a
tee! What an elegant and yet very sad and moving poem, I was speechless.

Sinking by Skyfire (4 points)
This reminded of a poem I wrote a while ago, which made me understand it well.
The imagery in it is really powerful, and the format made it seem as if we were really
sinking with the words. Very well written!!

Insomnia by [M(/)U] ( 7 points)
The soft rhyme and flow of this poem, gives it a sense of familiarity. I like the use
of second person point of view, it felt reassuring.
"Maybe one day, some day, brittle sleep could stay
long enough for you to find in the sand
your sunburnt smile again."

This part is my favorite. The one day some day part, in my opinion, is so clever and
is another reassuring aspect almost at the end of the poem.
And one more thing for some reason the poem reminded me of The Fray's song
How to Save a Life, so it was also a little depressing which made it seem deeper.
Anyways, I really like this poem.

A soundless parting (senryu) by Ben Pickard ( 4 points )
Titles are spot on this week and Ben wrote a powerful, and humorous poem
about growing older, this senryu is jam packed! Very delightful and fun poem!
