From start to finish this poem is mesmerizing! Magical 100% and
fist the dark fantasy genre perfectly! All fantasy poetry lovers should
read this. Its beautifully written and powerful. Loved the rich and dark
undertones and the visual display was perfect for me! Truly a powerful
read, well written!

Although I am unsure if this is a song or not, I was intrigued by
this in either case. The rhyme scheme shifts from stanza 3, which
made me think the first part may be a chorus. Nevertheless, the
words/lyrics are enticing, mesmerising even. There are dark images,
of an assortment of death. For me, this conjured vast terrains on fire,
this devastation and loss mirrored with equal measure of the current
pandemic. It is no wonder that a lyricist might think of ‘plague’ and
‘devil’s art’ as this ‘hope lies laced with dread’ more ‘souls fall ill’ and
loved ones remain alone ‘three seas away’.

This visual poem is very captivating and honestly a delight to
read. Just a wonderful free verse poem!

Calendar. by Prophecies In Kodak (7 points)
Life is marked by time. This poem has captured more than just a
‘Wednesday afternoon’, it spoke of a tender emotional connection. It
spoke of the surety that as ‘calendars’ flips, month after month, this
love will last. I enjoyed the sweet phrasing in the first stanza ‘…your
name sounds safe in my mouth’ I liked the juxtaposition of ‘…you look
at me like a forceful commitment’ against ‘…I look at you like Wednesday
afternoon’ This in so few words set the whole scene. Other gems that
remain with me, the simile: green eyes like moss fire. A lovely poem that
I enjoyed reading over several times and made me reflect: After all,
don’t we all deserve to be nourished by our own true love.

As I read this I though, yes, I know what you mean: The feeling time
is racing away, that somehow as we stand still, the world rises and falls
and when we, momentarily, catch up, we find our ‘babies’ are now
children and we are still unsure if we are ready for parenthood. Are
our lives worth reviewing? Questioning our existence is part of being
human. “I think and so I am” As long as we do this, we will find, in
ourselves, the answers we seek.
