You were my King (Rondeau) by Mr Darcy (4 points)

A beautiful form, written expertly which compliments the longing and
nostalgia that is so engrained throughout the body of this work. I was
quite literally moved whilst reading this, and with the wrong/right piece
of music on (depending on your viewpoint) tears are never far from the
surface as you 'sink' down to the heart breaking depths of the page.
    Well done indeed.

You were my King (Rondeau) by Mr. Darcy (10 points)

This form is beautiful and unique, Mr. Darcy wrote this with
ease. Each stanza packs a punch of sorrow and remembrance,
with a passing of a loved one or just honoring a person of admiration
or devotion. I feel a sense of honor, duty, devotion and love within this
poem. It touched and moved me greatly. Powerful poem!

    Expression by Michael (10 points)

Michael mixes up a wonderful palette of colour and emotion and
expresses it beautifully on the page with quite majestic formatting. Love
that has been and passed can be a recipe for heartache and bitterness,
but when it leaves memories like this that can be so wonderfully 'painted',
then surely, it was worth all the while. Wonderful work.

Beautiful and elegant painting of poetry by Michael
this week. Just an outstanding and romantic piece
    with beautiful visual display.

cinereal collarbones (napowrimo day 12) by Poet on the Piano Dawn (10 points)

Words, we all know them and use them every day, but there are times
you may hear, or in this example, read a collection of words that move you.
We all know time on Earth is limited, but when our Earth is ‘scorched’ and
‘rain is a rare’ as any tangible tears we may have for a condemned, yet born,
generation. The truth is, our ‘lakes are writing their farewells’ right now. This
poet knows the urgency and knows this certainty is like a ‘next breath’ a prophecy
whose reality will spread like fire. What can I do, you may ask? How about give
    a damn!?

cinereal collarbones by poet on the piano (7 points)

Bleak, harsh writing that is, perhaps, not a concept that any of us are not
now used to hearing about. However, perhaps it would be nice if we were
used to it being acted upon. MA's language and imagery throughout this
poem is second to none - 'oxygen - a hunger in our lungs we can't address'
being among my favorites - and I love the interweaving of an individual's/
couple's downfall with that of the planet's ultimate doom. Really imaginative
stuff that showcases the benefits of the napowrimo thread in terms of
    wonder and creativity.

Souls connected by Guilty by Design (4 points)

I really adore this poem by Guilty By Design
she has a subtle and elegant way of writing that
I admire. The soul connection to someone has great emotion
and she shares that beautifully within this poem.

Axis by Prophecies In Kodak (7 points)

I like the layout of this piece, it reads well, hugging the margin. This poet
has decided to leave the punctuation to the line breaks and l like this, it
allows a line to ‘linger’ on the lips and in the mind. Metaphors are masterfully
woven alongside clever phrasing, describing the relatable push and pull of
love. How does one keep a hold of a ‘rocket ship’? Time is not always our friend,
but sometimes it can allow a heavenly body a chance to slow and finds its axis –
‘and isn’t that just as it should always be just like you and i’
    ---------------------------

sanctuary. (napowrimo 2021: day 12) by hiraeth (4 points)

Imagine a post-apocalyptic world, nowhere is safe… Loners just trying to
survive, moving from ‘sanctuary’ to sanctuary in a world where danger lurks
around rocky corners. You would think survival would be the only order of
the day, but here this poet tells a tale of companionship and of warmth. Is
there a place for love in a desperate world in the year 3059? Well, in the year
2021, one could posit the same. My thoughts are, all the while we can break
bread and enjoy a sunset together, humanity and our love for self and others
    is not lost.
