If by Kai (10 points)
I've read love poems about roses and thorns before but not this way...
its beautiful and elegant the way kai wrote this. It just breath taking.

If by Kai (4 points)
New poetry and a new poet! Sometimes regular members can be
accused of writing similar style poems. This is okay, as to find a style,
one needs to imitate until they find what suits them. I found this poem
fresh and unique. I like its style with the single block of text and within it
repeated similar questions. If Kai was a rose, I would pick her as our own!

The Spinster by Hellon (4 points)
I always feel heartbreak for the women who fell in love, only to have
their love parish in war... and then to never marry again... its a lonely
form of love with a true sign of unconditional love. The title.. is very powerful...
I used to hear my grandmother call ladies the old spinster... oh this
poem is beautiful!!

The spinster by Hellon (7 points)
I loved this by Hellon although short it's extremely sweet yet somber
too as it seems clear to me these letters meant more to Hellon than she
cares to admit, maybe great, great grandparents who were only able co-hearse
through letter every couple of days possibly even weeks.

Imperial(ism) - English sonnet by Ben Pickard (10 points)
Another sonnet from, arguably, the site best sonneteer. He never fails
to impress, and here, even when getting a point across. some things like
imperial measurements and the ability to leave your door unlocked without
fear of having your CRT set stolen. I place the Sonnet form in that category,
they may be from a time gone by, but they, as Ben shows us, are and will
always be fabulous!

The Moon by Lena (10 points)
This was very powerful by Lena, to show her name means the moon
but to then link it into the poem as she did was excellently executed.
The line 'who wants to be hung up alone forever' is very somber and
relatable to probably all of us as no one wants to be alone forever.

Yeah, Yeah by Everlasting (4 points)
Everlasting never seizes to amaze me with her fascinating poetry
that just seems to flow off the tongue. She has a unique style, which is
one of the things I love about her. This piece is no exception, I love the
idea of flirting with coffee, it sure would keep us awake wouldn't it.
Amazing.

Struggles of the heart and mind by Em (7 points)
Week in week out this poet wears her heart on her sleeve. Her poems
reflect her life, like a diary, documenting hardships, not just for her,
but for others too, who hopefully benefit from her honesty. I like this poem,
it is open and displays her growth and grit, not just as a poet, but as a person.
I like the use of metaphors and similes throughout; they really add emotional
weight. I like too the 5 lined stanzas, neatly set on the page and pleasing on
the eye.

Stay Awake by Maher (7 points)
Nature tones and wording makes this beautiful and powerful, thought
provoking poem. Just lovely!!
