    hey, i have to write a poem for school based of another poem, im basing mine off the poem "A Red, Red Rose" by Robert Burns, but im having troubles starting it, if anyone has any suggestions let me know, the poem is written below:

    A Red, Red Rose

    O, my Luve's like a red, red rose,
    That's newly sprung in June.
    O, my Luve's like a melodie
    That's sweetly play'd in tune.

    As fair as thou, my bonnie lass,
    So deep in luve am I;
    And I will love thee still, my dear,
    Till a' the seas gang dry.

    Till a' the seas gang dry, my dear,
    And the rocks melt wi' the sun:
    I will love thess till, my dear,
    While the sands o' life shall run:

    And fare thee well, my only luve!
    And fare thee weel, a while!
    And I will come again, my luve,
    Tho' it ware ten thousand mile.

    you should look towards your girlfriend and see how she makes you feel or look at darker sides of things and that will help, it does me.

    Compare it to something. How he starts out with "A red, red rose" do something different, like "A blue, blue sky" or "a black, black night." Try as many different themes as you can. It doesn't even have to be a color of something. Just what you feel inside about love. Search deep and good luck.
