I made a comment on the other post as well. In my studies in psychology in college and in work I have found that rapid cycling mood swings falls more under an illness called Cyclothymia. It's similar to bipolar but without the thoughts of suicide. There are also different stages of bipolar. Medications can take up to 6 months sometimes until u find the right combination it is different for each individual. Someone on one of the post mentioned voices that is usaully seen with schitzophrenic patients. Are u mistaking the voices for being changing thoughts? Just curious! I don't have the illness but do suffer from anxiety and depression I am on medication to help with those problems. I think the majority of people today suffer some type of anxiety or depression. It just depends if it effects your day to day life. Another thing with teenages u have to be very careful when using antidepressents they can soemtimes cause the opposite effects and can be very dangerous. Zoloft, Paxil, Effexor are just a few that really have had some problems with the pharmaceutical companies withholding information to the public. It has now been released. They are now admitting to the fact that it is addictive. People have to go off slowly and may experience some withdrawls. Well enough of my thoughts I hope they help if anyone has questions just let me know! I am not a doctor but work in the mental health field. |
