    It eliminates the pressure on end of year exams. By having internals during the year students have the subject fresh in their mind. That is the only good point about it.

    NCEA in my eyes is a load of utter sh!t. But yeah - It works for some people.

    Arrr.. I haven't posted anything for such a long time, here it comes ;)

    Why keep NZEA?
    * Like Kalah said, no final exam.
    * Since its all internal, it keeps the student working through out the year... no more last minute studies.
    * Having some education system is better than no education system at all.
    * Internal work can allow teachers to have frequent feed back on how the students are doing.
    * .... can't think of anything else....

    Why NOT have NCEA?
    * Stupid system, why take away the consequential marking idea??
    * Now the most you can get is an Excellence... just how good is Excellence??
    * People with a big difference on their marks (eg, 50% and 65%) will now get the same grade....
    * Most Education System/policies are designed by non-teachers... stupid politicians, just what do they know about teaching.... @#$@#$.....
    * err... I would have more points if I was still in high school... but yeah ;)

    Hopefully that helps
