Well, as most of you know Canada has oblished the death penalty In fact, the last execution in Canadian history was on December 11, 1962 when two people were hanged for murder. From this time forward, all death sentences were commuted by the government of the day.

The death penality was officially oblished 1976 if i am not mistaken. However, Canadian and U.S. laws are extremely different. most people who have murdered in the U.S. do receive the death penalty but, in Canada you will get anywhere from 2 - 15 years sometimes life. So my question to all of you even if you are not Canadian is "Should the death penalty be brought back into Canadian soil???"
When forming your oppinion keep these questions in mind

the amount of tax dollars canadian citizens pay to keep these criminals behind bars
the prisions and luxuries they have established, television, gyms, tennis courts, basketball courts,
The drugs that are trafficed in these institutions,

These are criminals who have commited serious crimes and are living better lives then some of you and I, Millions and millions of our tax dollars are being funded for these people. However, is it right to give the high max offenders the death penalty??? does a tooth for a tooth, an eyes for an eyes work in situations such as these? or shall we save these people and hope that one day they will be rehabilitated into society back to a regualr canadian citizen?

now thats something to definately think about isnt it

Well, i guess you shall no me a bit more, beofore telling me i have no idea what goes on behind those walls. Bob, i may have not been imprisioned but i spent enought time there to know what the hell goes on behind those walls.
The stories, the actual knowledge, the drugs, the brew, the different groups gangs, skinners, you name it. I am aware of it. They even have a little jailbird code which i am not suppose to know about unless i am a prisioner. So i CLEARLY do not know what goes on behind the walls considering i spent half my life within those walls but not as a prisioner. I think Canadian and U.S. prisions are slighlty different or mabey not. Who knows but like i said i know more then what i should and want to about a prisoner's life.
