want to know sum poetry techniques

i write as i feel or comes 2 my mind but im not accquainted wid proper literal methods of poetry like meter n stuff. i will like 2 learn so.

any1 give me crash course

Spelling is definitely a good technique. :-)

i think another good technique is re routing your words into expressive description and detail. But trying to keep the flow of your poem at the same time. just fill in the blanks with description and detail while filling in all the other blanks of what youd like to say or talk about.
like this:

the thick red flowing blood spilled along the dusty floor. While the rest of the undeniable remains rotted like roadkill along the side of the sahara desert. Thinking blindly the retched anorexic like figure crept out of the never ending darkness and revealed its horrific troll like face. With slimy skin and the eyes of a jackal, it came out of the smog and ripped its unexpecting pray to shreds.

do you see the detail and description i have given. I think adding this gives a great pice its worthy applause. make sure your poetry comes with flow too.

ok flow is necessary very true but wat r names of diff methods u know foll diff meters n all like--decasyllabic etc
