Congressional "meddle" of dishonor

A general concensus from many adults I have talked to:

"We lost our freedom when they made the manditory seat belt law. It's not that wearing your seat belt is bad, it's that it is a choice."

The government is interjecting into our lives way too freely.

never heard about that one. all of the stuff theyre doing this days is just so awful and throwing america down the tubes. the accounts are much too numerous to name of of them here. but for example the case with the feeding tube, theyre going to take the family totally out of the loop and take the whole thing to the government that should be dealing with other things. just everything thats happening and what it looks like its going to do to america in the coming decades is just so depressing. you know that now theyre planning to drill for oil in alaska? next theyre going to drill on the west coast ive heard. extremely screwed up and very depressing when you think about it.

ug, i dont even want to think about what hes going to do with that stupid patriot act. with the things this administration has been doing...we can only expect the worse.

In my personal opinion this particular case should have never even made it into court. I feel that if the husband did not want the burden to take care of her then he should have allowed her parents to take on the responsibilty of her care.

Since Terri had no living willthen it is only safe to assume that she had never thought of what might happen in a worse case scenerio.

I was always under the impression that without a living will then it is assumed and automatically declared that all resources are to be used to help you sustain life (until such time you are declared brain dead and or the whole family can come to an agrement)

Personally this is a decision that the courts and the government both should have never been involved in...

Again that is my personal opinion

yeah. but the thing is, ive heard that the part of her brain that is used for communication ect., is completely liquified and now filled with spinal cord fluid or w/e. but i agree about taking it to the courts. they shouldnt have done that. now its just going to be another one of this administartion examples, not caring about the family at all anymore. its messed up.
