Well welcome Karlie - I've found everyone to be a friendly lot. Let me know when you have some poems posted and I will leave you some comments.

To introduce myself..... I'm Rach, 29 from Cheshire, England. I'm currently writing my second book and trying to obtain publication of my first (trust me will let the whole world know if I get a publisher because you'll see me cartwheeling naked around it!). My poems are all a little dark as you will see if you read any, all I ask is that you please give me a mark 1-5 (even if you don't like them) as it's incredibly frustrating when you've got like a hundred visits but no one voted - lol. A bit more about me - I am currently studying Alcohol and Drugs Counselling and planning on doing a degree to be a Social Worker. Also full-time mum and part-time internet freak! So that's enough about me, would be interested to read your work and like I said at the beginning welcome!

Nice to meet you and thanks for commenting honey. London is fab, have spent a great deal of time down there recently trawling round agents and publishers so make sure that you get some time to come over and visit it properly. Keep going with your writing, it's always worth it if for no one other than yourself.

Welcome to your friend too. Ignore those who aren't friendly and try to take on board any negatives critiques (sometimes they are the most honest and others can try to blow smoke up your ass - lol) alongside all the positive ones you'll get. In my opinion their is no such thing as a bad poem - just to write something that is in your inner most thoughts is cathartic and makes perfect sense to you as the individual therefore shows talent and creativity. Any hoo rabbiting on now so will get off and good luck. Keep me posted on the poems honey.

It's quite addictive really:) I'm sure you'll make tons of new friends and approve your poetry skill(If they aren't the best they can be already)And i agree don't pay attention to the negative comments however don't be offended by constructive critism and don't be afraid to give it:)
