Most quotes are made up from anotehr person at one point or another.Majority of quotes you see here you most likely have heard before soemwhere. In my opion quotes are for ppl to write down the quotes tehy liek best.It is very diff from poems stealing and posting poems taht are not originaly yours are a big deal not for posting quotes she may not have made up.You will likely see 3 or 4 of teh same quotes through teh pages posted by diff people and no most do not post that they heard it from soemone else.I think your making a scene over nothing.Just my opion of course.

Quotes are not as plaigerized just because they are short or figures of speech. It's hard to find the origination of a quote in most cases, so although they sound familiar, it would be hard to cite it. She should have said (I heard this somewhere) or something like that- at the very least, but it's not the same as plaigerizing poems in my humble opinion. Now if she were trying to pass off, "I have a dream, that one day..." as her own, there would be more of a blatant issue... see the difference?

    Hey Matt,

If a tree falls in a forest but there is nobody to hear it, does it make a sound?

Did you make that up yourself? Because you didn't state that it wasn't yours before or after it.

    They aren't original quotes

I haven't really endeavoured to find any - I do have a life ;o) but I think almost every quote I have ever read on here sounds familiar....

    Just my thoughts

Well, okay. I see your point. I don't know where sum come from, I just hear em' and yeah. You're right, I should have said who it was from, well since I didn't know em' then not post it at all or..err.. at least say that I wasn't the one who FIRST thought of it or wrote it down. They're just ones that made a difference in my life. But..okay. I understand. I'll delete em'. I appreciate you bringing this to attention and standing up or something, what ever you think it may be. *wonders* Maybe I should do this for EVERY person that does the same?? Because you know many do that. Anyway, they'll be gone from your eyes and all others that seek em'.

    A quote by definiton:

    1. To repeat or copy the words of (another), usually with acknowledgment of the source.
    2. To cite or refer to for illustration or proof.
    3. To repeat a brief passage or excerpt from: The saxophonist quoted a Duke Ellington melody in his solo.
    4. To state (a price) for securities, goods, or services.

So, really, she is within her rights, but liberally speaking, if you didn't write it, then you should say something. But they are nice quotes after all.
