horse help

okay yesterday i just got a new horse he's almost two yrs. and he has rain rot really bad anyone have tips on what to do so he's not so miserable in a new home??

thanks a bunch guys our vet is coming tomorrow to check him out!

if all else fails... ASK THE AMISH seriously... we tried everyting for my horse, then the amish gave us something and it worked great!!

one problem with that yeah the only amish ppl that live near me are 3 1/2 hours away yeah lol

We don't call it 'rain rot' here so im not 100% sure but i'm thinking in other words its 'swamp/mud fever'.

My horse has had swamp fever before and no treatment would fix it. However i was advised that washing my horses legs down after exercise and drying them properly would prevent it.
