9 Years ago I was with 4 of my friends in a jeep wrangler and we were hit head on by a drunk driver. I wasn't driving and as we started up a hill and got to the top there he was in our lane. We hit head on and then another drunk driver hit from behind. I just now settled on that case 9 years later. Looking at the pictures that were given to me by the State Highway Patrol we are all very lucky to be alive. I don't know how we all made it. My bf at the time was almost completely scalped and his thumb was hangin on by a piece of skin. His thumb was able to be saved and he now has some permanent memory loss. I had a broken ankle that requierd surgery and I had to have a screw put in. The screw later started to come out so I had to go back in to have that removed. I have a messed up back that will cause me problems the rest of my life along with arthritis in my ankle that will only get worse with age. So drunk drivers it can happen at any time. It was 3:00 am and u know everyone was drunk. Opened my eyes! |

This is a kinda different answer to everyones - a lil sarcasm intended :o) I honestly thought I was going to die giving birth to my son...the world was spinning I had never experienced such a high pain extent or been so scared in my life...much worse than I ever anticipated...the closest thing to a near death experience I have had... |

The first time I thought I was going to die was when I was about 9, when I had my first asthma (sorry bout spelling) attack. I was so scared, I was telling my mum not to throw away any of my toys when I was dead. |

I got into a serious four wheeler accident about three years ago. I ended up getting a concussion and busted my knee open. I remember waking up under the four wheeler, stuck inbetween the rock wall and the four wheeler with this gooey looking stuff coming out of my leg mingling with the blood. I was almost sure that I was going to be dead, but someone found me before that could happen. |

As to an answer to the question, the first time I thought I would die I was about 10. The next time was when I was about 15 when I went out on a cliff face to help my friends back off of it... not bright in anyone's book. |

The first time I thought I was going to die was when i was about 7 and my mom was driving in the free way and I was in the backseat. All of a sudden the car started sliding and next thing I know the car is only on two wheels and we were about to crash into the wall. Then I felt my older sisters hands cover my eyes and I felt her kiss my forhead. I was so scared I was convinced I was gonna die. I remember my eyes were closed about 10 min and when I opened them the car was stoped and thank goodness everything was okay. My dad had managed to get the car to stop before it hit the wall. Everyone was silent but that only lasted for about a couple of minutes. For the rest of the ride home it was non stop screaming. I dont think i ever recovered. |

Well I nearly died on Thursday :| I almost got run voer, but my friend panicked and grabbed my hand and ran. If she didn't do that I wouldn't have noticed the car. And probably died. |

I didn't think I was going to die, I knew. When I was 18 I was trying to get out of an abusive relationship. The last straw was when he stayed up for 3 days straight doing any drug he could get his hands on. He broke into my neighbors house with a box cutter so the police took him to have his stomach pumped. His mom called me and told me he escaped from the hospital and was pissed at me so I was packing (we lived together) when he found me. He went and got a butcher knife. We struggled, I will never forget how strong he was, then he knocked me down and sat on my chest with his knees on my shoulders, I couldn't move. he had the knife to my throat and had started to cut, I have a little scar, when his friend came in and found us. He saved my life. |

I was thrown against the wall of my bunkbed and I was getting slapped and hit on the face and arms so many times I thought all my bones were broken... I thought I was going to die cuz every time I'd tell her to stop she wouldnt, and I got hurt so bad... I fell asleep to some music by simple plan..that darn radio was playing all thru the abuse :( |
