A blood clot in her brain

I read a text message my mum sent and I think she has some sort of blood clot in her brain.... Does anyone know what this does, because I'm a bit confused

my mum had a blood clot in her chest. its very dangerous and has to be given drugs to thin down the blood, atleast thts what my mum had to do. its called wafarin. and it thins your blood.

mum also has to wear like these stockings tht r reeeeeeli tight whenever she goes on a plane incase her leg like explodes or summit :( see the clot started in her leg and travelled to her chest. blood clots can burst so ur mum needs to see a doctor xxxxxxxxxxx
