There's not really a set amount of time you'll just know when it's right. My first husband and I were together a year and when we got married it all went horribly wrong. My husband now and I were together 6 yrs and it works ok I guess. More than time it has to be special and the most important thing of all is to be friends. If you aren't friends then you really shouldn't do it xx (I'll get down off my soap box now - lol)

i think it all depends on the people me and my husband were engaged and trying to have a baby after dating 2 months.Its all about where you both are in your lives and sharing teh same goals for teh future lots of communication and honesty and you have to be friends.Marriages can fall apart after any amount of years regardless if you date 15 or 2 it all depends on the people.Its not always easy you have your ups and down like in any relationship but if you both compromise and listen to each other when things hit a wall it should all werk out.Much luck to you.
