Ever happened to you...(Please read)

Have you ever met someone on a chat site or anything...and been suspicious about who they really are? I mean...you know you get them guys that say they're 17, and they turn out to be 57? I though I'd been talking to this real great guy for the past couple of years...and I just recently found out he's been lying all along, he's 35 years older than he said...he's so perverted! Has it ever happened to anyone else out there?

He had a load of photos...I was convinced that he was who he said 'cause we shared the same kind of interests and everything. The weird thing is...he never asked me to do anything for him...you know you get them guys that are real intrusive...he wasn't like that atall. He just wanted to chat! I even spoke to him on the phone a few times...he didn't sound that old!

I knew he lived locally...and one day when I was out with a few of my friends this random guy just came up to me and started talking to me...called me by my name and everything...was going on as if he knew everything about me! Then before he left he said...good luck with the pregnancy and I'll speak to you tonight probably...I was like...huh? I'd only told 'Marc' that I was pregnant...so I was so freaked out when this guy knew 'cause I wasn't even showing yet! When I went online later that night...'Marc' said...it was nice to finally see you...!

i thought it would be quite easy to spot a a guy who is in his late 5o's on the phone...guess not. thats really sad / bad news you must have suffered a massive shock !

The thing is...he really did seem genuine! It was such a big shock when I found out! My Mum phoned the police and everything!

I never had any suspicions! He'd have new photos every month...and he'd always send me them. He really did seem so genuine! The scary thing is...I trusted him so much...I told him everything! He was the first to find out about my pregnancy...and he'd give me real great advice on any of my problems, same as I'd give him advice on any of his! Scary!

just cos there was no internet when he was 17 he thought he could relive it .........Sicko Psycho.....no matter how nice he was to u he still a (censored--------------------------) in my book.

i'm still in shock............2 years........2 years........2 friggin years ..i'm suprised he didnt pull a stunt...what do they call it.....'grooming' sickening i call it.or maybe after he found out about the pregnancy that probably deterred his sick motives.

am pretty sure if som1 who is 50 i can spot on the fone...surely i thought u can tell between a 16-17 year old... from a 50 year old...

i think the only SAFEST way to really see whos on the other side..is thru webcam or phone+ webcam or somthing like that.

They must have been photos of someone he knew...because whenever he told me he'd got a new girlfriend, or went away for the weekend...there'd be other people in the photo's that kind of 'proved' what he was saying! When I spoke to him on the phone, I guessed he just had a deep voice...it's not un-heard of! I just can't see why he only wanted to talk...not that I wanted anything more!

Why is it prverted? Alot of these people don't ask you to do anything or meet up. And if they do, you just refuse (These rules aren't subject to me). Is it really that sick to want a friend? I know from personal experience that age has nothing to do with love, so why should it have anything to do with friendship? So the guys older than you, big deal. He didn't treat you differently because of your age and thats rare. If you have the same intrests and are happy talking to each other then physicalities shouldn't matter. He probably didn't want to scare you away or make you feel uncomfortable by telling you his real age.

Most people adopt different personas all the time in life and on the web. Is it 'perverted' to want to be young again? No, Its normal.

I dont have to lie to have people like me, wait, if I wanted people to like me then I probably would have to lie, but I dont because I have money. Anyway, I was just saying that everyone lies. Sometimes subconciously, but they do. We adopt different personas to fit in with the people we meet, well, alot of people do anyway. And FYI, I have no issues what so ever. (Apart from using the abbreviation 'FYI' and even bothering to argue with you).

Yeah I was talkin to this cool guy he said he was 16 and he turned out to be like 36 in was real gross cause he was all talkin perverted to me.

I get what you're saying about just wanting to talk to people...and wanting to live out your youth again...but it is sick! It's not fine to sit and talk to someone who lies to youi about having the same interests...age...etc. It's perverted! I bet if you found out that someone you were talking to turned out to be decades older than they told, you'd be shocked!

if it was a women who turned out to be decades older than me . thats means she took me as her toy boy..omg i'll be more than shocked.

quite frankly this guy no matter how nice he is and no matter if it was just to 'be friends and to 'just talk' his behaviour of

1)lieing about his age
2)constanly lieing about himself his life what he is for 2 YEARS
3)constantly making it out that he is geniunly in his teens i mean omg the photos thats sickest part.
4)getting to know som1 way too young girl

this sort of behaviour no matter how innocent iT is..it still strongly correlates with the same behaviour as internet peadophiles and how they behave

only thing he didnt so is meet up and do his dirty deeds. oh but he did see her in public !
