Can Anybody Help Me? Please :*(

I know cutting isn't all that bad... but what do I do when someone I know and love wants to commit suicide?? plase someone help me!!! I'm so scared!! please!!!

First of course try to persuade them that life is worth living. Then tell their parents or authorities, no questions asked.

I cant do that!!!
Shes not going to commit suicide... but I want to know how to help her tomorrow when she come up to me and school and shows me her scars... what do I do then?? please help!!

sorry I was talking about 2 people.. "wants to commit suicide" is fine now... the one who juts told me she cut, she stopped for 3 months, just cut again... waht do I do tomorrow when she comes to me and shows me? how do I help her??!

hm...its hard to get people to stop once they start, it gets adivtive. just tell her that you are here. you can hep her more than cutting ever can. tell her to try and do anything exept cutting. tell her to try whenever she wants to cut, do some boxing or something else productive. replacing cutting with something productive helps. she could take up a sport or drawing or poetry. or if it gets really bad, she can always talk to the school councilor or something. good luck!

Are you stupid? Seriously!!!! TELL....SOME....ONE.... Tell her parents, tell your parents, tell a teacher, someone with a higher authority!!!!!

I was in the same situation, and as hard as it is, you need to tell her family or a counselor or someone like that. I made the mistake of believing one of my friends would be ok and could heal without adult help and I was wrong. I recently persuaded him to tell his parents, and he's getting treated. It's better for you to tell, as hard as it will be. Like satin said, get her help if she is asking for it. whatever you do, stick by her... Don't ask her why she is doing this to you, and don't tell her she HAS to stop... that will just create rebellion. Ask her if she wants to stop... hopefully, she does. You have to get her help and stick by her side. Good luck!
