Who's atheist...anyone?

I know this is a touchy topic and there's loads of christians on here, but I get tired of everyond saying stuff about god and what not. Both my parents are christian and I got kicked out of three churches because I told off the preacher and took money from that plate they "gave" to me. I was also told that I will burn in hell about a dozen times last week alone. Oh well. Christian peoples, don't get all uptight about this and tell me off though - that's already happened twice today.

Well could it be possible that you were kicked out of a church not for telling the preacher off but for stealing??? I mean, are you expecting for someone to tell you what you did was okay...and it almost seems as thou you are labelling yourself as a atheiest but do you infact know anything about the beleifs. Yah, i am catholic and a few months back there was a post started boycotting against catholics when in fact not every one new absolutely nothing about it and yet they had the balls to question peoples morals and religious standing. People are different they beleive in different things, pleople and places...but before you are able to understand the beleifs of your own..must learn to have the capability to understand those of others.

good point hussain. but here's the thing...does everyone really have to beleive in somthing? what if we dont have a long ass list of stuff we believe in, maybe its just one thing...God doesn't exist? simple as that. isn't that enuff to respect? you may have a simple opinion about what food you like, and people respect that you may not like brocolli, is there an entire introduction as to why you dont? and what you do? anyway those are just my thoughts.

Yes I am 'atheist', but I definetly see no justice in 'telling off' your preacher.
You'll have to explain the taking money from the plate thing, (that they "gave" to me)
But as far as I can see, that is an incredibly horrible act...stealing from the church, man you sound like one of those little devils in loony tunes.

I think you should learn to respect other people's beliefs. Being athiest does not justify insulting religion and values of faith.

so you have no religion no belief no set of protocols that you must follow.

i have an absence of beleif in God. god is not the only beleif. you must be pretty narrow minded if you think that god is the only beleif a person can have ever. what if i beleive in the "big bang" theory? that doesnt include god, does that mean its not a belief. i am actually anti-christ. which in my point of view is different than atheist. atheism is an absence of beleif in god. i believe he is there, i just dont choose his path, his way of life, i do not like him, i think he is a prick. thats MY beleif. it IS a beleif, doesnt have to be a RELIGION. all that guy was askin is that you respect his beleifs too.

Excellent! I put this topic out just to see a general response. Thanks to everyone for posting. No, I didn't get kicked out of churches or steal from them...that was actually my friend, he's crazy. My mom won't take me to church anymore though because she's scared that I'll talk to the preacher and make her look stupid, or something like that. Oh yeah, thanks especially to Ashley. i dont believe in gOD but theres no way of proven he/she doesnt excist no matter which way you look at it all comes back to the same damn thing...

so theres no use in complaining...or whinning religion threads go nowhere...

The reason that I'm atheist (on top of rejecting "God") is that I have looked back and all religions seem to pop up from people that wish to keep the peace or so to say. They told people stuff like "be nice because God's watching over you, if you're nice you'll go to heaven" to make them easier to handle so the government didn't have to worry about troublemakers. It seems more like a moral code on every religion than an actual belief. So eventually, the lies that government and other ancient people spread became absorbed into the "truth" and generally accepted. Sorry it's long...I've got a lot to say, but I've got to go. :-)
