How has this verse influenced you?

Metallica is the band I associate my teenage years with most, though they only account for about 10% of the music I listened to.

Disposable Heroes and One are songs about the futility of war, yet I joined the army.

Ride the Lightning is a song about the futility of the death sentence, yet I am all for it.

I love the music Metallica make, but they haven't influenced my being one iota... maybe my love of guitars, but nothing else and that can shared with all the other bands I listened to.

i love all rock music. sometimes the words just shock you. they are so crazy. they are sometimes about lost loves or something but you could never tell until you actually listened to the words because they're so hard core. this one nickelback song, Never Again, is one of my all time favorties. it is so sad

I think Guns & Roses had a big influence over the teenagers growing up at that time, the upper 20 year olds today.

And I think that rap is what most influences teenagers now, Eminem mainly.

The rock and alternative has died a bit of a slow and painful death, it's getting more popular now, but it hasnt influenced our generation much. It has greatly influenced me on a personal level, however.
