Who actually writes poetry here?

well i tried once!!!!..........it was successfull!!!!!

I kinda think every1 dus considering this is a poems website :) but yeah i do, i dont steal poems/ideas either. I think that devalues it if its not totally natural. I have a friend who writes songs, but once you read them back a lot of the lines are stolen from other songs which i think is pointless - then she asked me to help rewrite one of her songs so it STILL wasnt her own :@ grrr

Seeing as this is a poems and quotes website, i thought it was quite funny you should ask that question. But yeh i do, and i think quite a few other people on here do aswell..

I wrote poems on this site for a couple months before I ever came to the boards. I already had a gold F award before I ever posted here.

Guilty as charged! I write a minimum of two poems every day! I don't post them all on here because some of them are for my personal rememberance only. I write poems instead of making diary entries...they're always more interesting to look back over. Take care all! Sarah-Lou x x x

yeah i agree, poems to me mean more, when a diary entry is just like random facts of that day
"dear diary, today i had a tuna sanwhich and it was good. i saw billy today and he looked so awesome!" :) i just wrote a new poem, it's a bit odd i thought.

I write them. I'm not very good, and new at the whole poem thing but it works for others so I thought I would give it a try!

I just joined a couple of weeks ago, and like I said just started writting, so that's why I have very few up.

What is your meaning of "writing" poetry. I'm sure plenty of people write it but maybe they don't meet your standards so you put them down by saying its not poetry. Keep in mind that poetry comes from your heart not someone elses.
