Advice needed please!

ok, i need some advice for a mate of mine. i know this is long but PLEASE take time to read it :)

She really likes this guy ok? John. and John recently went out with another one of our friends, Mary. While Mary and John were going out John told my mate that he was in love with her. she did nothing asbout because she didnt want to lose her mate Mary as a friend

anyway mary and john split up, and now john started to go out with a girl called Andrea.

My mate and john arent speaking and my mate is totally in love with john and wants to start being friend again. sort of accidently on purpose bump into him and start talking again so then maybe she has a better chance of being more than friends when john and andrea break up!??!

PLEASE help im desperate for advice and to help my friend :(
