Preach on, sister! I like the way you think. I'm a virgin myself. I think sex should be between two people who love and care deeply for each other. It's all about the emotional connection behind the act itself. Unfortunatly, fewer and fewer think that way. It's a shame really.

Hey, dont be ashamed of being a virgin at 16! that's totally normal, i was a virgin till i was 17 and till i really trusted my boyfriend. Me and my boyfriend had been together for about 6 months before we slept togather and it was totally worth waiting till the time is right. I have been with my boyfriend for 3 years now so we must have done something right! haha

I wish I still was. I lost my virginity when I was 16 because I thought that I found the man of my dreams, and beleived him when he said that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. Sad I know...I wish that I could take it back.

I did promise myself that I will not have sex again till I am married and know that the guy isn't going anywhere.

My boyfriend and I actally talked about this a couple of times. We love eachother more then anything, and trust eachother more then anyone out there! We decided that the only way we'll have sex is if we get married. At times we want to, really bad, but we always just keep telling eachother that the day will soon come. It gives us something to look forward to you know? Lol.

Any way, I lost it when I was 14 years old. It was a huge mistake now that I look back, but back then I seriously felt I loved him. I was waaaayyyy too mature for my age, dating a 19 year old when I was only 14. He used me, abused me, hurt me in every way possible. But I don’t think that I should be judged on how I made a mistake, ya know?
I mean that event is always going to be in the past. …. but… I shouldn’t dwell on how other people think I was ‘too young’ or ‘not smart enough’ But . . . I know I was ready. And I don’t regret it; it just was a mistake because I didn’t see back then that my love was really going to hurt me, and now…. I see that a lot of kids are being downsized because of their mistake, like mine. But then there are the kids who think they have to have sex to make a man love them. I knew this chick who went on a blind date, then moved in with him a week later. O_O that’s like outrageous. But that was what she was comfortable with. Ya know?

Jess...a virgin means you have not had sexual intercourse...if you have, then you are NOT a virgin. But...if you believe in god, then it is considered that you are spiritually a virgin and your purity is restored (not physically obviously) in his eyes if you were raped.

I'm sixteen too!!! And yes i'm still a virgin and a hint for all the other virgins out there in the long run the majority of guys will like you even more because of it. Mabey not during that moment when you have to tell them no, but afterwards they will respect you so much more!

I'm 16 and a virgin. But at my school thats normal.. non of my friends have had sex, and like we've all had boyfriends and go to parties and are your average girls. I guess it really depends where you're from, but yah, here it's normal to be a virgin at 16.

I wish it was normal to be a virging here! Me and my friends are still virgins other than that theres about four or five other kids at our entire school who are virgins thats it and its pathetic!

All the virgins continue to be proud. Although I write lots of poetry about sex, I am a 24 year old virgin. At first I was saving myself for marriage, but now it is more than just that. I am in college and we had our annual campus blood drive. Guess what, 85% of the blood that we received couldn't be used because of STD's. 218 freshman alone have full blown Aids. Thats not including upperclass students, grad students, faculty and staff or the people who didn't give blood not to mention the other sexually transmitted diseases that these people have.

So I feel that I'm not just waiting for Mr. Right, I'm maintaining my health status. I don't want to be another statistic.

A lot of people feel that sex is just something to do. Well it isn't. SEX has spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical consequences, so when you decide that you are ready to lose your virginity, make sure you are 400% ready.

Please make sure that if you lose your virginity to a non virgin that he/she gets tested, make sure you use protection not just from diseases but for unwanted pregnancy as well.
