you could do something else to make something of your life but it doesnt have to go to war...why or how could you go now?you're only 16 and you have alot ahead of you...ya i know it's for justice or something like that and ya it takes alot of courage for you to even think to be going to war. but still there are other ways to make something of yourself...

i agree, there are many other things you can do with your life, so many options are open at this age. as for avenging your cousin, you dont have to go to war to avenge him, instead you could do something that really comes from your heart for him, im sure he would appreciate that more than you going to war and risking your life that you could make so much of. you could also try raising money for the troops and their families and bring awareness to all the people around you that everyday our troops are fighting and dying for us. dont close off all the wonderful things you can do with your life.

I'm making harsh moral judgements here but anyone who states their reason for going to war to avenge their cousin deserves to die. Thats the most stupid thing i eva heard. Then again what use is the military other than to wipe out the assholes in their own country. Goes nicely with the saying:
'some people are only alive because it is illegal to kill them.'

okay PV1 Hall. At ease. I'm assuming you joined the army. You're 17 so the earliest you can go to war is next year or this fall. If you joined the military to avenge someone get a different career.
You WILL do what you are ordered, when you are ordered, as it was ordered. If you have already been sworn in, you do not belong to yourself anymore, you belong to uncle sam. Get smart and get yourself a copy of the UCMJ Uniform Code of Military Justice. Read the whole thing.
Oh yeah, before you go to basic get real religious unless you want PT all day sunday. Take up smoking very occasionaly so you can inhale a drag without gagging. This will help in basic too. Oh yeah, stop by a PX/BX and get a copy of all shoulder insignias, mission patches, unit designations etc. If you can recall all of them at moments notice you too can make Spec. outta boot camp.
