Stickies

I've seen this in a lot of other forum sites.

You know when you post in a topic, that topic gets refreshed to the top of the forum, right? Well, these "stickies" (as what they are called, because they "stick" to one spot in the forum) remain on the top of each forum, regardless of posts. Usually, in stickies, there are the rules of that particular forum, or frequently mentioned issues, or things like that. It could alos help n00bs not keep asking the same questions/posting repeat threads/ etc...

    Just my bit.

how can a computer know what category a thread belongs in when it is titled something like, "I need help with this..." or "HEYYYYYYYY" etc, etc, etc.

but I guess if a title was entered that wasn't easily discerned, then the post would not be accepted (I can hear the complaining now!!) so it might actually cut down on the ridiculous posts!

I don't know how to program computers either. But I do know that it would be practically impossible to program it to "know" what category a post goes in. For instance: this post. "Stickies". In which category does that belong? If a person doesn't know at first glance what category that goes in, then that person cannot tell the computer where to put it.
