Oh Sunny, they do have microphones you can hook up now and all you have to do is talk into it and it types everything for you. Of course you need to install the hardware, which shouldn't be too difficult and I don't believe its too too expensive and it really would be worth it for your dad. Check it out, go anywhere that sells computers and check with them. Office depot or office max or even circuit city. I hope I helped....... good luck!!!!
