I've been writing poems for almost three years, but I'm kind of stuck, here. I got stuck in this rut where I keep writing about depression, and sad stuff. I can't seem to find any inspiration or new things to write about. Can you help me out here??

Make a list of all the positive emotions you've ever felt (happy, amused, content, excited, thankful). Then next to each emotion, write at least one incident in your life that made you feel that way. Write a poem about it. Stay focused on the positive feeling and don't let it stray to the negative.

You can also use a thesaurus for those words I mentioned, and think of things that would MAKE you feel that way. Fiction is FUN!

maybe, you have any friends who are kinda sad, you listen to them, and make a poem about it...

Try to think of other emotions. You could write about your best friend, or somebody you love. You could write a poem about nature or life. There are many possibilties. And I know what you mean, I tend to write either love poems or depression poems. But the depression poems just come from me, most aren't about how I feel. But the love ones come straight from my heart, so I tend to write those two the most. But just think all the things you could write about, and think about inspirations. Write about something that made you happy. Good luck! I hope I could help.
