is writing poem a sad thing?

is it? cause i get made fun of when people say i write alot of poems =/

Writing is a way to let out your emotions, or just because you want to. It's not sad. Whoever told you that is stupid.

I have to agree with JPM. Punch them in the larynx and then mail them a poem on the reasons you did it!

That would be the dumbest thing I ever heard of. I guess everyone has their different reasons, but writing is NOT a sad thing. Who ever said that is a tard.

Writing poetry is definitely not a sad thing. They're probably jealous you can write and they can't. Anyway, poetry helps many people. It lets people express their emotions, so don't listen to whoever said that, because it is definitely not true.

I bet you that every famous book autror has writen a poem at one time. And I would think that some of the songs we hear started out as a poem. So do who cares, if someone who doesn't like you for what you like to do. If you enjoy it, don't lission to them. You are a writer, what you write is no ones bizz but your one. As to others thinking you need to be vilent, thats childish. Depending where you live that will get you dead.

NO WAY!! poetry is one of the best ways to express yourself, and if you enjoy it as much as i do, then go for it, and dont let anyone put you off.....if they do make a big deal out of it then thats a good thing to write a poem about!!

Writing poetry or writing in general and being able to express your feelings and emotions in word is not a sad thing. It is a gift and if someone laughs at you when you tell them you are a poet and write, it is because they are jealous because they can't.

It takes courage to truly write and express your inner feelings and experiences without any inhibitons.

do not let people get to you...I am the only one of my friends who writes...and none of them get it...but I do not care, if writing is what you love, then love what you do...be yourself, and if someone disrespects you for it, then you should not be their friend...

don't let them bother you...if you truly truly like writing then u wont care, and you'll just keep writing...i only know 2 ppl who actually write poems...my friend and I and most ppl just dont get the poems....so just keep writing and ignore them

those people are probaly just jealous that they dont have a single poetry bone in their body so they make u feel bad becuz u have writting skills. and if thats not it tell them they are pathetic cuz u have a gift god gave u that will take u somewhere in life while they are going to get fat and never get anywhere in life.;)

People have different ways of expressing their emotions, whether it be playing football (Paul Gascoigne), Singing or playing an instrument (my friend Kev) or writing, if people want to mock you for writing, let it go, if the only way they can express themselves is by making fun out of you, they got something to learn, or alternatively, punch them in the larynx!

1: They're jealous
2: They're to dumb to understand a poem and the emotions in them.

nope is not who cares if ppl make fun of u as long as u express ur self thru writing thats wat counts

I don't thing when I person writes poems its sad, its a hobby and a way to express one's emotions and if someone makes fun of you because of that then they are probably the kind of people who just feel bad about themselves and hurt others to make themselves feel better.
