Self defense

Does anyone know any easy but effective ways to defend yourself?

In my line of work I was taught different forms of self defense. Most of the classes I took were basically restraining. Now my son on the other hand takes karate and he is pretty good. What is the point of this question? Just wondering!

The reason for this is because I have people out to kill me. I'm alone alot and just wanted to be a little prepared. And I have no way to get to self defense classes.

Unfortunately he's one of the people trying to kill me. And he keeps going beyond the restraining order.

It's weird but they would rather believe I'm a liar then to believe that there best friend did stuff to there daughters. And it's because of me his wife is in jail. It's mixed up. Thanks for the ideas.

I just want to be able to get away from them, not kill them. Although for one person I wouldn't mind. As for a weapon, I carry a knife but I don't think it'll do much good against his dagger.
