no it's just a term. You see when two or more people diagree and then express their opinions and critique the others it is called debating. And you really don't have an argument at all. What's the point you're trying to make? |

I guess I can see where you are coming from Laeka (sorry if I spelled that wrong) but I have been through so much in my life...and I am still incredibly happy. I know people who have more through way more than I could have ever imagined and still are as happy as me. It's not about what you go through I don't think, it's how you look at life. You can be happy no matter what is going on. Life is what you make it, I truly believe that. I have a friend who lives in her car, she has been bouncing around from her car to friend's houses for almost three years now. She's been through and done some really CRAZY stuff but she is one of the happiest people I know. |

not necessarily....i mean there is some truth to that, but what about the people who are abused or live on the streets?? they can't exactly make life easy or filled with happiness....now can they?? sure, they can pretend...but it isn't authentic happiness..... |

they might have, but not everyone of them....what about the people who have lived on the streets for their entire lives?? they can't help that, and you may say well they need to just get a job blah blah blah, but in order to get a job you have to have proof of residence or whatever and transportation, most homeless people don't have that, if they did, they wouldn't be homeless lol....and what about the people who have been screwed over because of their parents?? they can't exactly control their parents.... |

Maybe you didn't read my post ....my best friend is living in her car. She has no job, no money, and she lives in a damn car. She is the happiest and most energetic person I know. She could easily get a job and find a place to stay. Her parents kicked her out at 16 and she's been on her own for like 3 and 1/2 years now. Same routine. She's lived in the projects, done tons of drugs, been abused by I don't even know how many men, been to jail, her life is just shitty!! But she is so happy! And through all of it she has always had a smile. She knows she made her life the way it is now and she knows she is the only one that can fix it. So like I said life IS what you make it. Besides her there is a homeless woman that lives here in Fort Myers who was in the news press for best dressed homeless or something, I'm not exactly sure. Anyway I have talked to her and she is incredibly happy too. No matter what is going on in your life you can be happy. You choose to be miserable and depressed. |

I don't know. She's had jobs, she just doesn't keep them. Partying is more important I guess. She has people that let her stay with them sometimes and there are guys that pay for anything she wants. I don't know, we talk about it a lot. her parents kicked her out and don't want her back and are going to put her up in an apartment. All she has to do is get a job and they'll get it right away. She just won't. I don't know, I try to talk to her but she's hard headed. |
